The Palo Alto software business plan program is called “Business Plan Pro”.  It receives some of the highest ratings from users and professional reviewers alike.

It gets 4 1/2 to 5 stars for customizability.  It is one of the most user-friendly and the end products are professional looking.

Value is the only category in which regular users and professional software reviewers disagree.  Users give it about 3 1/2 stars for value, probably because of the high price, which is currently around $100 for the standard and $200 for the premiere version.

Software reviewers give it five stars for value.  They feel it is worth the money, because of the step-by-step navigation wizard and the numerous financial templates provided.

BRS Plan Write for Businesses

This program costs more than the Palo Alto software business plan writer, but gets lower ratings in terms of customizability and quality of the end product.  It is more user friendly according to software reviewers and users alike.

User friendliness helps, but the program still earns an overall rating of only four stars.  At $120 for downloads and $130 for CD orders, it may seem expensive.  But, it might help you describe your idea better.  Plans that are too vague or general don’t get approved by loan officers.

Comparing business plan software ratings might be a good way to choose a program.  But ultimately, you need to try the program to see if you like it.  Look for one that offers a trial period or a money-back guarantee.  That’s the best advice of all.
